Community Engagement Session #3 on December 15, 2016 – ALL Data

The third Community Engagement Session was held in December with over 100 participants! The stakeholders in this session included a number of students, staff and community members. This session completed the Community Engagement Phase of the Strategic Planning Process. The strengths, weaknesses, the perception of culture, challenges, and opportunities remained consistent with the previous sessions. The appreciation of diversity and the positive characteristics of a diverse student body continues to rise above the other positive strengths of Rancocas Valley. It will be important for the steering committee to recognize the strengths that emerged and develop the strategic plan in a way that will improve the strengths over the next five years. We all love to brag about our strengths, but how do we develop those strengths to improve the school district? That will be up to the steering committee as they develop the foundation of the plan in February 2017 by creating the mission, core values, student-centered goals, and the strategies developed to fulfill the mission. The weaknesses and challenges developed themes associated with grading policies, assessments such as mid-terms and final exams, and the rigor of levels. This will provide valuable data for the steering committee.

Below you will find the data collected specifically from the third community engagement session and the compilation of data from all three sessions that will be presented to the steering committee as they begin their work in February.
